Timisoara Hospital for Infectious Diseases “Victor Babeș” continues to admit patients.

Yesterday evening there was a videoconference between the management of the hospital and the president of the national insurance company, after which it was determined that in two weeks at most the mediation commission will meet to resolve the situation , provided that until then the activity of the doctor the unit will proceed normally, without the patients suffering from it.

Hospital spokesperson Dr. Virgil Musta told RRA that the financial situation of the hospital is quite serious as the unit is in arrears due to the fact that all the expenses for the treated cases have not been paid. not been settled by the insurance house of Timiș County, and through the new budget, there is a risk that the payment of employees’ salaries will not be covered either.

Over the past 4 years, the “Victor Babes” Infectious Diseases Hospital in Timișoara has not been paid 5.78 million lei by the insurance company, while the debts of the unit have reached 3, 6 million.
