The Bucharest College of Physicians Foundation has launched an information and public awareness campaign entitled “Vaccination – a fundamental right to health”.
Among the reasons for this approach are the decrease in the percentage of vaccinations among children in recent years and the failure of the Ministry of Health’s program to vaccinate girls against the HPV virus.
The campaign will include training courses for doctors to improve their communication skills, meetings between parents and specialists and the launch of a website dedicated to this subject.
“We try to do with the help of this project, apart from these workshops dedicated to doctors, which is the first line, because we have an extremely large amount of information, the second part means conferences with the participation of parents, so that they receive information from serious sources. And, thirdly, we will have this website which will contain “explanations in the language of the parents”, so that everyone understands what it is about, “said the president of Romanian Association for Pediatric Education in Family Medicine, Valeria Herd.
