Donald Trump’s favorite newspaper is turning against him. After proclaiming Ron DeSantis the future of the Republican Party on Wednesday, the New York Post returned to the front page on Thursday with a violent editorial against Trump, titled “Trumpty Dumpty”, in which the former president is considered the Republicans’ saboteur in the election of mid-term.

The News York Post is a tabloid in Rupert Murdoch’s media empire that seems to be reorienting itself towards the new Republican star.
In the op-ed that opens the paper on Wednesday and is subtitled “Toxic Trump,” the author concludes that “what Tuesday night’s midterm election results suggest is that the former president Donald Trump is probably the most deeply repugnant voter in modern American history.”
He claims that many Republican candidates supported by Donald Trump lost the election, recalling the great defeats of Dr Mehmet Oz, Blake Masters or Herschel Walke.
Trump: “We’ve had tremendous success. Why would anything change?
Donald Trump, however, sees things differently. In an interview with Fox News, the former president spoke of the “extraordinary victories” of the candidates he supported.
“The people we have supported have done very well. 216 winners for 19 losers, it’s unbelievable,” he said.
Trump recalled the victories of Senator Chuck Grassley in Iowa, Senator Marco Rubio in Florida, Eric Schmitt in Missouri, JD Vance in Ohio, Ted Budd in North Carolina or Ron Johnson in the Wisconsin.
“I think we had some great candidates who did very well,” he said.
When asked if the outcome of the midterm elections, when the “red tide” had not happened, had changed his plans for the announcement he had promised to make on November 15, Trump replied, “I’ve had tremendous success. Why would anything change?” :
