Ciprian Marica: ‘I don’t understand why Pitu wasn’t called up. He’s the player with the most dribbles’

Ciprien Maricashareholder of Farul Constanța, welcomes Edi Iordănescu’s decision, but says he does not understand why the coach did not also summon him Alexis Pitu (20 years old), the extreme left of the Dobrogens, who had appreciated the performances of the current season.

In place, Pitu was called up to the Romanian U21 national teamwho will play two test matches this month, with CSA Steaua and FC Argeș.

“I am happy that there are young players called up and that Edi Iordănescu is making these attempts, but I don’t understand why I don’t see Pitu there. If you still take Sefer, I don’t see why you don’t take Pitu too – you see how he behaves, especially since he is a scoring player.

If Pitu’s goal was missing so far, now comes fulfillment. It is the player who has the most dribbles, who has the decisive pass. I don’t understand why you don’t take him to the national team as well. Please, not that I don’t understand, but he could have been taken too”said Ciprian Marica, in the show Ora Exactă en Sport, from Pro Arena.

Alexi Pitu has made 15 appearances for Farul Constanța this season, managing to score three goals and provide five assists.
