France-Holland, score 26-24, and Germany-Spain, score 21-23, determined the final composition and points in the two main groups of the European Women’s Handball Championship.
Reigning Olympic champions France and one of the host nations Montenegro enter Main Group II with maximum points and are favorites to advance to the semi-finals of the competition.
In the deciding match of Group D, Spain overtook Germany, score 23-21. The two go hand in hand in the next round and send Poland home.
