Valeriu Iftime strikes! A Champions League player has signed

Valeriu Iftime, the FC Botoșani team’s financier, is preparing a new blow on the transfer market. He brings a national team player to Romania.

This is Charles Petro, a 21-year-old defensive midfielder from Malawi who can also play as a centre-back.

Currently, Charles Petro is registered with Sheriff Tiraspol, Republic of Moldova, but his contract expires in December this year.

Charles Petro arrived at Sheriff Tiraspol in February 2020, after playing for Big Bullets in Malawi.

In this season of the first championship of the Republic of Moldova, Charles Petro has played only five matches so far. Last season he scored 15 games, in which he also managed to score one goal.

Since joining the Moldovan group, the Malawian player has played five games in the Champions League and three more in the Europa League.
